Dr. Trina Schey is a 2013 graduate of the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Benedictine University. Originally from Franklin Park, a suburb of Chicago, Dr. Schey is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they are raising two energetic boys.

A devoted animal lover, Dr. Schey is also “mom” to two dogs (Milton and Stella), two cats (Gary and Gilbert), and a flock of chickens.

In her free time, Dr. Schey enjoys spending time outdoors—hiking, gardening, and exploring nature—as well as listening to classic rock and singer-songwriters. She joined our team in 2023 as a part-time veterinarian and continues to bring her passion for animal care and community service to her work every day.

Dr. Cori Gustafson

Cori Gustafson, DVM
Cori Gustafson, DVM

Dr. Cori (Dosher) Gustafson has always had a soft spot for animals — from her childhood visits to Lisle Animal Hospital (now Friendly Vet) to her hands-on experiences in clinics and externships. As a Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine grad, she’s passionate about all aspects of animal care. Cori loves the variety that every day in veterinary medicine brings, whether it’s cuddling a puppy, calming a nervous cat, or helping a pet parent understand a diagnosis.

She’s also a proud Friendly Vet alum — first as an intern and later returning for an externship during her veterinary school studies. Now, she’s come full circle, caring for pets in the very community that nurtured her love for animals.

When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Cori traveling, skiing, or spending time with her high school sweetheart (now husband!) Cody, their friends, and family.

Our doctors are supported by an incredible team with diverse backgrounds and expertise, working together to deliver exceptional care.
